The 13th Annual Prince Party!!!

Like Minded Individuals, the official Party for Prince in Houston will be held Saturday, June 7th at Scott Gertner's Sports Bar Live!!

The annual event which celebrates the music of Prince and related artist, (Sheila E., Morris Day and The Time, Vanity 6 etc), has become a staple in the city of Houston for fans of Prince all over!!

Anthony Frazier aka Ant Boogie and his good friend Peter V. started the Like Minded Individuals Party 4 Prince in 1995 to honor one of The World's Most Prolific Musicians.

Originally hailed as a birthday party for Prince, the title has been scaled down to not include the word birthday in it, to respect Prince's recent conversion to the teachings of Jehovah.

Although this year marks a milestone because Prince will turn 50 on the night of the party, Ant Boogie says he has no plans to acknowledge the birthday.

However, Ant Boogie says it does mark 20 years since Prince released "Lovesexy" which included the hits "Alphabet Street" and "Glam Slam" and the ground breaking concert in the round tour Prince went on to promote the cd, (which by the way every song on the cd was recorded on one track). So there might be a lot of Lovesexy going around on June 7th at Scott Gertner's Sports Bar Live.. For more information call 832 882 8726.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make the first annual HVM Block Party a success!!

There was so much energy at the block party and so many great entertainers who rocked the stage. If u missed it, be sure to be there next year!

The 1st Annual Spring Break Alternative Arts and Music Festival is a block party centering on live music, vendors and fun for the whole family! Why go to the beach for Spring Break when you can have a true alternative right here in Houston!

In the tradition of the old High Volume Music (CD shop) "old school" block parties from "back in the day", the festival will be held on the grounds of The Plex Multi Media Studios in the heart of Sunnyside, Houston- Texas.

Performances will start at noon and last throughout the day.
